Tom Johnsrud, Executive Director
Tom Johnsrud began his career as a Long-term Care Administrator, leading retirement and head-injury rehabilitation communities in Minnesota, Massachusetts, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Illinois. He received his MBA at Benedictine University during his tenure with Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital in Wheaton, Illinois, where he lead a variety of post-acute, acute and outpatient programs and clinics. Mr. Johnsrud followed that with leadership positions with Joint Commission Resources and The Joint Commission, working with domestic and international consulting, as well as domestic surveys. He held Assistant Executive Director positions with the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and with Senior Star. He recently served as the Executive Director of a 346-unit retirement community in Romeoville, Illinois, providing service to independent and assisted residents and those requiring memory support.
An avid runner, Tom has run several marathons, including twice in the Boston Marathon. He and his wife Jennifer have two children: Peter, who attends Washington University in St. Louis; and Amanda, a recent high school graduate.

Kelly Walker, Marketing Director
Kelly Walker grew up in Canton, Georgia, and graduated from Kennesaw State University with a degree in Communication. She began her career in Senior Living at 24 years old, but her love for seniors began long before when she volunteered at the community where her mother was the Executive Director.
Kelly has helped countless families find the perfect independent, assisted living or memory care community that will fit their needs. She prides herself on building relationships with perspective residents and their families while counseling them during every step of the moving process.
Kelly is thrilled to be the Marketing Director at the Mansions at Alpharetta Assisted Living and Memory Support campus which includes a fully occupied independent living building. When she is not assisting seniors, you will find Kelly spending time with her husband Ben, eight year old daughter Gracie, Shih Tzu Boe and Great Pyranese Daisy.
Laura Beattie, Programming Director
Laura is responsible for the social engagement for all senior residents. She believes in continued learning and nurturing of her residents. Laura programs to all dimensions of wellness, providing stimulation in physical, cognitive, emotional, social, and environmental areas. Laura is a Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist and has worked in the field for 7 years. She has experience in both hospital based and residential services working with all age groups. She has been a lead therapist in mental health, working specifically at emotional and cognitive retraining and has also been a faculty member of Central Michigan University teaching recreational therapy in gerontology, mental health, and activity facilitation. She holds a Masters Degree in Therapeutic Recreation from Central Michigan University and a Masters in Sports & Recreation Management from Northern Illinois University.
